Where to get the ITU-T/CCITT recommendations / standards
You may get them from International Telecommunication Union (ITU). The problem is, that you have to pay for them. But you can get a free/trial access and are allowd to get three recommendations within a year for free.
Another method is to grab the recommendations from the web using google or another search engine. The most important files to search for are:
v21.ps V.21 - 300 bits per second duplex modem
v29.pdf V.29 - 9600 bits per second
v17.ps V.17 - 2-wire modem for facsimile applications with rates up to 14400 bits/s
t4.ps T.4 - standardization of group 3 facsimile apparatus
t30.ps T.30 - procedures for document facsimile transmission
g0711e.doc G.711 - PCM of voice frequencies (i.e. ISDN)
